1. Chocolate Layered Peanut Cake

Chocolate Layered Peanut Cake is a delicious snack that combines the savory taste of peanuts with a sweet chocolate layer. Here are easy steps to make it, complete with tips for perfect results.

Ingredients Needed

  1. 400 grams of wheat flour (use all-purpose flour).
  2. 250 grams of peanuts, roasted and ground.
  3. 250 ml cooking oil.
  4. 2 egg yolks.
  5. 250 grams of fine sugar or powdered sugar (adjust the sweetness to taste).
  6. 1 block of compound chocolate (use dark or milk chocolate according to taste).

Steps of Making

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, ground peanuts, and powdered sugar. Stir until evenly mixed.
  2. Add the egg yolks to the mixture, then pour in the cooking oil little by little. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed and form a dough that can be rolled out.
  3. Take some dough, then shape or mold it according to taste. You can use a round, square, or other shape of cake mold. Place the molded dough onto a baking sheet that has been smeared with margarine or lined with baking paper.
  4. Preheat the oven to 120°C. Bake the cake at the same temperature using top and bottom heat for 20–30 minutes or until cooked.
  5. Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and allow the cake to cool completely before topping with the chocolate coating.
  6. Melt the compound chocolate by steaming (heat the chocolate over a pan of boiling water, do not let the water touch the chocolate). Stir the chocolate until it melts completely.
  7. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate until completely coated. Carefully remove the cookies, tapping off any excess chocolate, and place on a wire rack or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Put the chocolate-coated cake in the refrigerator for a few minutes until the chocolate coating hardens.

Tips for Serving and Storing Cookies During Christmas

A delicious Christmas cake will be even more delicious if served and stored properly. Here are some tips you can try:

  1. Use Airtight Glass or Plastic Jars: To maintain the texture and flavor of the cookies, store them in airtight jars to keep them crispy.
  2. Avoid Storing With Strong-Smelling Ingredients: Strong odors from other ingredients can affect the aroma of the cake.
  3. Serve with Christmas Decorations: Arrange the cake on a serving plate with Christmas decorations, such as holly leaves or red ribbon, to add to the atmosphere.
